While Channelside tenants depart in droves and the Shops at St. Pete (formerly BayWalk) awaits word on its new tenants, Centro Ybor is undergoing its own major changes.
Fresh Mouth (burgers, cheesesteaks) closed on Sunday night (sister restaurants JJ's Cafe and Centro Cantina stay open). A new wine bar tenant in the center will take over the old Wear Me Out location, and meanwhile Hamburger Mary's new chef Chris Heath unveiled a new menu last Thursday, with flatbreads, fish and chips and "muffin top" meatloaf.
Nearby in Ybor City, Buffalo Wild Wings will open in November at E Seventh Avenue and 17th Street (the old Platforms & Shine Bar), and not far away in Channelside, Florida Entertainment Group (owners of G Bar and Honey Pot) launch a new venture on Sunday night called Lucky Sundays, a weekly gay event featuring no cover and free drinks 9 to 11 p.m.
