Try one of these for Easter brunch in Tampa Bay

Easter Sunday is coming, and for a lot of people, going to church, then finding a nice Tampa Bay restaurant for brunch or dinner is a family tradition. We've been collecting information about several Tampa Bay restaurants that are offering a special menu, and those are listed below. But you can also go the regular brunch route and check your favorite Tampa Bay places like Oystercatchers, Marchand's Bar and Grill at the Vinoy, the Maritana Grille at the Don CeSar or Ocean Prime near International Plaza, among others. We strongly urge you to call and make those reservations now.


If you're Southern, you'll find it hard to resist this menu: honey ham or baked chicken, mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, corn bread and peach cobbler for dessert. Available for takeout, too.

Bella Brava

The downtown St. Petersburg favorite is serving brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus the regular dinner menu. Among the special offerings: several varieties of frittata, slow-roasted rosemary and garlic leg of lamb or country honey-glazed ham. All items are priced a la carte. Reservations recommended.

Black Pearl

This longtime Dunedin favorite will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. The dishes include a white truffle lobster risotto, vegetable stuffed eggplant and macadamia-crusted Chilean sea bass with a lemon Pavlova with strawberries. Prices for entrees vary from $19.95 to $33.95. Reservations are recommended.

Cafe Largo

Usually closed on Sundays, this restaurant is going to open its doors from 4 to 10 p.m. It will be serving prime roasted leg of lamb from Wisconsin along with regular menu items. Every woman will receive a courtesy rose and glass of champagne. Reservations are recommended.

Caretta on the Gulf

Spend your Easter at this beachside restaurant, located in the Sandpearl Resort. Enjoy a brunch buffet that includes specials like a raw bar, ceviche, duck confit and a New York strip loin with horseradish cream. Price is $59 a person, $19 children ages 4-12; hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are needed.

Columbia Restaurant

This Tampa Bay icon is open for Easter from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The dinner menu will be available all day, with two specials, including roast leg of lamb and a baked Virginia ham. Reservations are needed.

Hurricane Seafood Restaurant

Enjoy brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the landmark restaurant's second level. Enjoy traditional brunch items like a raw bar and breakfast items. Or go in for the major entrees like prime rib, sausage and peppers or blackened catch. It's $22.99 for adults, but if you take your parents, seniors can eat for $19.99; kids 6-12 eat for $10, and kids 5 and under eat free. Reservations are recommended.

Jackson's Bistro

Enjoy this waterfront restaurant's brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu will include specials like a roasted leg of lamb, honey-soy glazed salmon, and an assortment of meats at their carving station. The price is $31.95 for adults, $10.95 for children 4 to 10, and free for 3 and under. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Maestro's Restaurant at the Straz Center

The restaurant inside the performing arts center will be serving up an brunch along with a visit by the Easter Bunny. Menu items include herb-roasted leg of lamb, honey-glazed ham, a steamship of pork with all the condiments and traditional breakfast and brunch items.Plus, a glass of champagne will be served to each adult. Seatings are at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cost is $31.99 per adult; $14.95 (3 to 12 yrs.); Under 3, free. Resevations necessary.

Mystic Fish

The dinner menu and the chef's specials will be available from noon until 8 p.m. Featured dishes include lobsters, lamb, bison, pastas and steaks. Reservations are advised.

The NoHo Bistro

NoHo Bistro is offering a "decorate your own eggs" Easter Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is also serving quiches, signature salads and a variety of bakery dishes. Cost is $24.95 per adult, $10.95 per child. Please make reservations.

Parkshore Grill

Alongside the regular menu, the restaurant is offering a three-course Easter meal all day for $29. The special features a spring pea bisque, herb roasted lamb, duck, scallops and a dessert. The brunch menu will be available 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please make reservations.

Pelagia Trattoria

This upscale restaurant in the International Plaza district is serving a breakfast, brunch and lunch special. Cost is $35 per person for adults and $13 for children 12 and under. Go early before church, with a breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Brunch and lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to typical breakfast items and fruit, Pelagia is offering made-to-order dishes that include assorted seafoods, pastas and many different desserts. Reservations are a must.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Fresh Harvest

No need to worry about reservations or getting there at a certain time. This restaurant in the massive casino and hotel complex is offering an Easter meal from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For $35 per adult, or $17 for children 11 and under, you can enjoy food from a special duck dish to a decadent carrot spice cake. Note: Fresh Harvest is not accepting reservations for this meal.

Shor at Hyatt Clearwater Resort This upscale, waterfront restaurant opened just recently and is offering carved turkey and ham, made to order eggs benedict, seafood bar, cheeses, salads and all your breakfast and brunch favorites. A complimentary glass of champagne is included. Brunch will be in the beautiful Belleair room over looking Clearwater Beach with light jazz played by local artist Ron Rienhardt. Spoto's Grill 131

The Seminole mainstay is offering an Easter menu from 1-8 p.m. The offering includes roast leg of lamb with mint demi-glace, orzo with sun-dried tomatoes, scallions & Feta cheese and a chilled Mimosa. Cost is $18.99 for adults, $12.99 for children 12 and under. Reservations recommended.

Spoto's the Steak Joint

Spoto's is offering two Easter specials along with the regular menu items from noon to 8 p.m. The specials feature a veggie bisque with brie, roast leg of spring lamb and roast loin of suckling pork. Please call for reservations.

TradeWinds Island Grand

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at this beachside favorite. Entrees wil include macadamia-encrusted mahi mahi, carved boneless leg of lamb, candied baked ham and roasted prime rib of beef. There will also be traditonal brunch items, and, for dessert, a warm chocolate fondue fountain and assorted cakes and Easter candies. It's from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Price is $37.95 for adults, $34.95 for seniors (60 and over) and $17.95 for children (10 and under); tax and service charge are not included. Reservations are needed.
