We've all seen the work talented interior designers put on display at show houses in the bay area and beyond — but haven't you always wondered what their homes look like?

Now's your chance to get a peek. The Florida West Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers presents Designer Digs, a 15-home tour of professional designers' spaces in the Tampa Bay area and Sarasota.

The homes are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday and features a variety of homes and styles, from Sarasota School of Architecture to beach homes to cottages. The designers will be on hand to answer questions and talk about their homes.

Tickets are $20 and are available at the tour homes. Find a map of the homes and more information at asidfwc.com.

In designers' minds

Get an idea of how great design comes together by visiting the "Ides of March" at Menaul Fine Art Gallery in Clearwater.

The exhibit, which runs through April 10, features abstract artwork along with photos of how the work can be used in a home. Accompanying articles by local interior designers explain how they created the space. Admission is free. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended hours to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday. Sunday it is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The gallery is at 1750 Hercules Ave. For details, call (727) 726-7411 or go to menaul-art.com.
