New Realtors' earnings meager
Become a Realtor, get rich quick? Not very likely. A new membership profile released this week by the National Association of Realtors shows that agents with two years or less of experience earned a median income of $10,500. The typical Realtor is 52 years old, female (60 percent) and white (87 percent) and earns $42,600, down $5,100 from 2006.
Think beyond traditional summertime hues and try painting an accent wall or a foyer a bright citrus shade like lime green or lemon yellow. Or try these tips, suggested by the Rohm & Haas Paint Quality Institute:
• Create a soothing ocean getaway in bedroom or bath with sandy tans, sea glass greens and aqua blues.
• Decorate a child's room with beach towels and surfboards.

Hot water telling for propane tank
How can you tell how full the propane tank on your grill is? The Web site mrfixit.com offers this suggestion: Pour hot water down the side of the tank. Wait a second or two and then slide your hand up and down the tank. It will remain quite hot where there is no propane behind the steel wall of the tank. But the heat will be rapidly absorbed from the tank surface by liquid propane. Where the tank goes from hot to cold is where the liquid level is.
