Builders association names 2010 Parade of Homes winners

The Tampa Bay Builders Association recently announced the winners of its 2010 Parade of Homes. Homebuilders in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties submitted more than 50 entries for the spring parade, which ran April 17-May 2.

A panel of independent homebuilding experts considered site plan, curb appeal, design, materials, outdoor living spaces, architectural detailing and workmanship when choosing the winners. Grand and merit awards were given to homes in distinct single-family and multifamily price ranges. The award for best community went to Newland Communities for MiraBay in Hillsborough County. Other winners are:

Single-family homes priced $140,000-$200,000: Grand Award: Highland Homes, the Treymore in the Greens at Hidden Creek, Pasco County; Merit Award: JayCor Homes, the Valencia II at Park Place, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $201,000-$250,000: Grand Award: Southern Crafted Homes, the Brighton I at Devonwood, Pasco County; Merit Award: Mobley Homes, the Maplewood III in Easton Park at K-Bar Ranch, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $251,000-$300,000: Grand Award: David Weekley Homes, the Portland Rose at Panther Trace, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Inland Homes, the Greystone at Outpost Point in Grand Hampton, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $301,000-$350,000: Grand Award: Mobley Homes, the Nantucket V in Bassett Creek at K-Bar Ranch, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Centex Homes, the Trentino at Starling in FishHawk Ranch, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $351,000-$400,000: Grand Award: Larsen Communities No. 3 Inc., the Augusta at the Eagles Golf and Country Club, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Southern Crafted Homes, the Strathmore II in Stonegate, Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $401,000-$450,000: Grand Award: Avalon Building Corp., the Antigua with Bonus Room in Watermark at Seven Oaks, Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $451,000-$500,000: Grand Award: Costanza Homes, the Summerfield Grand in Mirasol at Champions' Club, Pasco County; Merit Award: Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Custom Craft Homes, the St. Augustine VI at Sunset Lakes, Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $501,000-$550,000: Grand Award: Sunrise Homes, the Monterey at Stonewood, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Schmidt Brothers, the Grand Martinique at Bimini Bay, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $551,000-$600,000: Grand Award: Sabal Homes of Florida, the Gulfview 3 in FishHawk Ranch, Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $750,000-$850,000: Grand Award: Hannah-Bartoletta Homes, the Baybreeze at MiraBay, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Bartlett Custom Homes, the Bricewood at Hawk Creek Preserve, Hillsborough County.

Multifamily homes priced $150,000-$200,000: Grand Award: Pulte Homes, the Montenero at Ventura Bay, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Rottlund Homes of Florida, the Berkshire at Tarpon Ridge, Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $251,000-$300,000: Grand Award: JMC Realty, St. Thomas 1405, the Towers of Channelside, Hillsborough County.

Multifamily homes priced $301,000-$350,000: Grand Award: JMC Realty, St. Croix 1401, the Towers at Channelside, Hillsborough County; Merit Award: Rottlund Homes of Florida Inc., the Abaco at Hidden Bayou, Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $1 million or more: Grand Award: JMC Communities, the B-1802 at Ovation, Pinellas County; Merit Award: JMC Communities, A-1501 at Ovation, Pinellas County.
