Reader Exchange: Budding young anglers eager for dinghy

Students are out of school and looking for fun things to do during summer vacation, and parents are hoping those activities are close to home and require minimal gassing up. Sherri, the mother of three boys, ages 5, 9 and 11, says their dad recalls the fun he had putt-putting around as a kid in a little dinghy with a motor on it, fishing. The energetic ones are getting into fishing now, and Sherri thought she'd check to see if there might be a dinghy (with or without a motor) left high and dry in Exchange Land, longing to mix it up with boys on summer vacation. Please

e-mail Sherri at andycap1@tampabay.rr.com.

If the next request seems familiar, it's because Adeline DeSarno of Safety Harbor was out of town when it first appeared, several months ago. Well, she is back at home again and is resubmitting her request. Foremost, Adeline needs a large-print paperback Catholic Bible. Then, she wishes to recycle some slide holders: five circular and seven oblong ones. She also needs a shade roller, about 56 inches long, the kind you can staple fabric to. Adeline may be reached at (727) 799-1946.

Send requests to Reader Exchange, Floridian, St. Petersburg Times, P.O. Box 1121, St. Petersburg 33731 or e-mail cole@sptimes.com. Requests will be accepted only by mail or e-mail. This is an exchange column, so we will not run items that are for sale. Readers must agree to publication of phone numbers, including area code.
