Reader's Exchange: 8mm away from a birthday celebration

Basil Thompson is turning 80, and his children want to celebrate the occasion by reviewing some of the archival family films. One obstacle looms, however: Basil's projector hasn't stood the test of time the way he has. So Basil, a South Pasadena kind of guy, needs a standard 8mm projector, in any condition. Please call (727) 367-9521 — happy birthday, Basil!

Sally Gasky of St. Petersburg has quite a number of dance costumes, both ballet and tap, used primarily for jazz, lyrical and modern competitions by two of her grandchildren. The sizes are mostly "small adult," interspersed with some "large child."

The costumes are beautiful, Sally writes, and she'd love to get them to some young people who will truly use and appreciate them, perhaps dancers in a dance studio who need help with finances. Please give Sally a call at (727) 345-2759.

If you have goggles you can donate (your company may be updating equipment, for example), please call Mrs. Johnson at the school, (727) 547-7689, ext. 434.
