St. Petersburg Times homes section's makeover is called HomeLink

Beginning next Saturday, your weekly Homes section is getting a makeover.

The new section is called HomeLink, and it will be the source each Saturday for real estate and home improvement information.

Looking for tips on buying and selling a home? You'll find them in HomeLink.

Want to know more about the value of curb appeal? Read about it in HomeLink.

Need details on how to price a home for sale in this challenging economy? That's HomeLink, too.

HomeLink debuts with a mission of helping homeowners maintain their biggest investment. These days, that's assistance we all need. Look for new features like Tampa Bay Neighborhood Profile, which will focus on a local community and the prices of its homes, and Curb Appeal, which will suggest ways to make your home look good from the outside in. You'll also find DIY projects and green tips, plus tales of real-life interior makeovers and news of area real estate agents and builders. And just maybe, you'll finally learn how to install a window or toilet.

HomeLink remains the place to read Community Living, Nation's Housing and Ask the Builder. Look here, too, for gardening tips and events.

Real estate classified ads will move into HomeLink on Saturdays. (You'll still find real estate classifieds in the BayLink section Sundays through Fridays.)

And we want to hear from you. What are you looking for in real estate news? Want to brag about your successful home improvement projects? Where do you find inspiration to spruce up home and hearth? Do you have photos to share of your budget redecorations or how that crazy wall color really looks? Please direct comments to me at jkeeler@sptimes.com or (727) 893-8586, or to B Buckberry Joyce at bbuckberry@sptimes.com, (727) 893-8113. Photos can be e-mailed to us.

In the meantime, get ready to put out that welcome mat for HomeLink on Oct. 24.
