Attention, comics fans: Our innovative news and advertising section,
BayLink, will have space for four new comic strips when it launches on Monday.

And we want you to help us decide which comics to print.

BayLink — a daily section that helps you make good decisions about how to spend your money — will also contain all the color and black-and-white comics we now publish.

Plus, we're adding four new ones. That's where you come in.

On Monday we will introduce these strips:

Rhymes With Orange, by Hilary Price, an edgy strip that Price says is meant for "a small niche of witty, intelligent and incredibly good-looking people."

Mister Boffo, by Joe Martin. The main character, Earl, may be depicted in prehistoric times, the future, or anywhere in between. There is no continuity in the story — except that it has been funny since Martin started it in 1986.

Tundra, by Chad Carpenter. This nature-themed strip puts a wicked twist on the animal kingdom. Example: A buzzard, eating carrion, says to his buddy: "Oh, gross, there's a hair in my food!"

Cafe con Leche, by Charlos Gary. Gary, a former St. Petersburg Times illustrator, explores the lives of an interracial couple as they learn about each other's backgrounds — and about relationships.

We'll run the strips for a month, then introduce four new ones, and then four new ones after that. Along the way, we'll ask for your feedback. Your advice will help us decide which four strips to keep permanently.

Check out BayLink on Monday to see the new strips and learn how to give feedback.

BayLink is a TERRIBLE idea! If I want to see the classified -- I would look at them! You've taken a former great section and ruined it. Bad, Bad idea.

Your revamp of the paper is one of the dumbest things you have done. You took it from a very excellant paper to no more than the poorest rag available! I don't like it !!This is in regard to the whole paper. I usually spend a couple hours reading it.

I agree with Tom. Marvin was great and I still miss it. To me, Lio, stinks (I think I've laughed at this 2x max). What have you got against Beetle Bailey? Yes, bring back some older ones!

Mister Boffo is GREAT! People unclear on the concept:"Another letter from the IRS. I wonder what we've won this time."

Whatever happened to Dick Tracy?

How about bringing back some of the older ones that you so callously got rid of, instead of trying to introduce new ones??? You didn't care about your readers when you took them away, why do you think you remaining readers will care now??????????!
