VMAs like Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has scored 13 nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, a record for the event. Gaga's nods include two for both video of the year and best choreography for that latex monster mash Bad Romance and her duet with Beyonce in Telephone, best pop video, best dance music video and best female video, the New York Daily News reports. "I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history," she said in a statement. "Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number: 13." Following right behind her with eight nominations was the resurgent Eminem, who is up against Gaga for video of the year, plus best male video and best hip-hop video. Not that he's thrilled about it. "Apparently, MTV doesn't care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs," Eminem said. "I mean, I'll be there, but don't expect me to be nice about it." Other hopefuls for best female video are Katy Perry for California Gurls, Ke$ha for Tik-Tok and Taylor Swift for Fifteen. Best new artist nominees that aren't Justin Bieber are Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Ke$ha and Broken Bells. You can catch all the drama at 9 p.m. Sept. 12.
Elin gets Windemere digs; Tiger goes south
The Orlando area may be losing Tiger Woods to Jupiter, as RadarOnline says his almost-ex Elin Nordegren is getting the couple's Windemere home instead of the new one in South Florida. You know, Tiger, there are plenty of deals here in the Tampa Bay area right now. "It looks like Tiger is going to make the Jupiter home his permanent residence," a source told the site about the nearly-finished house in Palm Beach County. "It's got a state-of-the-art gym and was built to his specs. And it keeps him just a few hours drive from his children." Apparently Elin was supposed to get the new home in the couple's divorce settlement, but she opted for the scene of the infamous Thanksgiving SUV-crashing incident instead. "She hasn't told anyone if she's going to keep it or sell it," the source added. "But one thing is for sure, she will walk away from the marriage with enough money to do whatever she wants."
Fishburne unhappy with XXX video
Laurence Fishburne's daughter Montana never bothered to tell pop about her foray into pornography, and the 19-year-old tells TMZ her father is "very hurt" over her new video for Vivid Entertainment. "(My dad) is very upset. I heard that he's mad at me but I haven't spoken to him yet," Montana tells TMZ, noting again how she made the video to jump-start an acting career. "I feel pretty confident that I can work things out with him. I think he wants to support me in everything I do, and though he sees this now as a negative, I believe in time he will view it as a positive."
