Lil Wayne sent to solitary confinement for rest of jail term

Lil Wayne in solitary

Lil Wayne will spend the rest of his jail term in solitary confinement after getting busted with contraband in Rikers Island, the New York Daily News reports. What could have been so terrible that he will spend the next month in the Bing, as it's called? An MP3 player. Hey, Weezy's got to keep his skills up in the pokey. "He's not in an area where he is mingling with other inmates — ever," a Corrections Department source told the tabloid. After being put in the isolation cell on Monday, Dwayne Carter will have to stay there until his release on Nov. 4. Nice to see the wheels of justice turn slowly in the pen, too.

Kardashians head north

The Juice* has good news and bad news. Good news: Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are bailing on Miami, where Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami was based. Bad news: They're just shooting another new series in the Big Apple for E! together. But, hey, South Beach is safe for now. "It's official! Kourtney and I have moved to NYC to film our brand new show for E! Kourtney and Kim Take New York!!!!" Kim wrote on her official blog. They were in the city Friday to shoot scenes for the show, which will be foisted upon us in January.

Snyder for 'Superman'

The powers that be in Hollywood have chosen a director for their next Superman movie: Geek icon (and bankable mastermind) Zack Snyder. It's almost enough to make us excited that Warner Bros. is planning a reboot and not a sequel. Snyder (300 and Watchmen) beat out the likes of Darren Aronofsky, Ben Affleck, Matt Reeves and Tony Scott to helm the Christopher Nolan-produced effort, which will be fast-tracked to start production next year.
