If you've been eager to see the transformation of Cypress Gardens into Legoland Florida, mark your calendars. The park announced Monday that its opening date will be Oct. 15. Its 150 acres will cater to kids ages 2-12 and will feature replicas of iconic U.S. buildings, like the White House. Plus, it will have 20 "pink-knuckle" rides — from roller coasters to race cars — and about 30 family-focused shows and attractions. The Winter Haven park also revealed an online reservations system on its legoland.com site that lets families book travel and hotels. A "Bed & Brick" program will list endorsed, family-friendly hotels that have special rates and ticket/room packages. Full price for the park is $65 for adults, $55 for kids 3-12, but expect discounts.
