On TV this weekend

FRIDAY

Surviving Suburbia, 8 p.m., ABC Anne gets all hot over Steve's obsession with a new gun Onno gives them. How many dysfunctions is that?

The Chopping Block, 8 p.m., NBC The teams have to prepare dishes using aphrodisiacs. Why does that sound like the opening to an adult movie?

Scorsese on Scorsese, 10 p.m., TCM Martin Scorsese talks about his favorite subject: himself. The proof? The original interview was five hours long.

SATURDAY

SERIES PREMIERE Destroy Build Destroy, 8:30 p.m., Cartoon Why teach that it is better to build than to destroy? This show will let your kids focus on both.

Eli Stone, 10 p.m., ABC Enjoy the rest of these new episodes, because you're not going to see it much after that.

SUNDAY

SERIES PREMIERE Merlin, 8 p.m., NBC Merlin is a hot young servant for a jerky Prince Arthur, working undercover because he's actually a magician. What a surprise, that.

Impact, 9 p.m., ABC David James Elliott, Natasha Henstridge and James Cromwell get work in a two-part miniseries about the moon colliding into the Earth. We're guessing they stop it somehow, unless there are no plans for a sequel.

True Blood, 9 p.m., HBO Really, how do you top a shirtless Anna Paquin?
