Bubba sues porn star over alleged Tiger Woods sex tape

But the actress' husband and manager said the sex tape belongs to him and has already been sold to another party he would not name.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Hillsborough County Circuit Court, contends the actress known as Devon James signed a deal in March giving the Bubba Radio Network exclusive rights to release all information pertaining to her alleged relationship with the golfer, including the purported sex tape. James, also listed under the names Melinda Jannette and Melinda Bringling in the suit, was paid $3,500, according to the action.

Citing news reports indicating that James has been trying to sell the videotape on her own and may have received $350,000 for it, the lawsuit contends James has breached her contract with Clem's company, seeking an injunction and damages above $15,000.

The actress' husband and manager — who told the St. Petersburg Times his name was Nick James but has been widely cited in press accounts under the name Nick Jannette — said Clem grew angry with his wife when she refused to participate in pornographic stunts on his show.

"I don't have a contract with Bubba; the tape is mine," said the husband. A website has appeared offering to take pre-orders for the tape starting Oct. 15. "My wife isn't even involved...So Bubba can pretty much kiss my a--."

The gossip site Radar Online published a story today quoting Gina Rodriguez, a former manager of the actress, saying the tape does not exist. A previous story on the website quoted James' mother Sandra Brinling saying her daughter is a "pathological liar" who made up a claim that Woods was the father of her 9-year-old son.

James' husband said they have filed suit against Rodriguez, alleging she owes them more than $10,000, and that the actress hasn't spoken to her mother in five years.

Brent Hatley, a producer for Clem's show, said they signed the deal shortly after featuring James' story in their broadcast; her first media appearance alleging a relationship with Woods. After failing to document key allegations, they concluded she was not telling them the truth, Hatley said.

"It's like you're playing poker and betting the line...you're buying her rights, sight unseen, thinking they might be worth something later," he said. "Any of these girls who said they were with Tiger, if it's verified, there were media opportunities to be had. Some of these girls are getting seven-figure deals. So ($3,500) is a small amount to invest for the possibility of making much more."
