A new trailer for Season 6 of Game of Thrones unleashed a torrent of goosebumps and speculation on Tuesday.

With James Vincent McMorrow's haunting rendition of Wicked Game playing in the background, the trailer offers few real clues about the new season. But it certainly gets the blood pumping.

Characters pop out of the dark in one-second snippets. Who was that burning man? Why is Melisandre disrobing? Is Jon Snow still lying there dead? But wait, what are they doing to him at the end?

Some of the best lines:

Jamie Lannister tells his sister/lover Cersei, "We're the only ones who matter. And everything they've taken from us, we're going to take back and more."

The High Sparrow intones, "Every one of us is poor and powerless. Yet we can overthrow an empire."

"You're in the great game now. And the great game is terrifying," says Tyrion Lannister.

This exchange between Lancel Lannister and Cersei: "Order your man to step aside or there will be violence," Lancel says. To which Cersei responds, "I choose violence."

Here's the trailer and a few screengrabs from it. The new season begins on April 24 on HBO.
