On TV this week
SEASON FINALE Switched at Birth, 8 p.m., ABC Family John and Kathryn have to decide if they should tell Toby the truth of how they feel about his wedding to Nikki. They're cutting it awfully close to the end of the season for that.
Major Crimes, 9 p.m., TNT Raydor has to make a decision that brings serious consequences. That is about as generic a plot summary we've ever read; isn't that the point of literally every drama?
Under the Dome, 10 p.m., CBS A woman named Maxine arrives in Chester's Mill, and Big Jim and Barbie both know her. They should be more concerned if they know how she got into town.
Mistresses, 10 p.m., ABC Savi is just now starting to realize Harry may not be coming back. Good thing Dom is there to score the rebound.
Extreme Weight Loss, 8 p.m., ABC An obese woman blames her weight for her baby daughter's death. Somehow this family friendly show took a surreal turn into nightmare territory.
Rizzoli & Isles, 9 p.m., TNT Jane and Maura must present serial killer Charles Hoyt's case at a law enforcement seminar. Too bad it draws the attention of a new killer. Maybe it's time for a new line of work.
Covert Affairs, 9 p.m., USA Annie infiltrates an FBI probe to hide her behavior from investigators. You'd think if there was one group that would be able to suss that out, it'd be the FBI.
Perception, 10 p.m., TNT Donnie tries to help a veteran with a neurological disorder, but things don't go as planned. We're guessing it's worse than Denny's not giving the poor guy a discount.
BBQ Crawl, 8 p.m., Travel Danielle is just now getting to a Kansas City barbecue contest? A week before the season finale? That's just plain blasphemy.
The Bridge, 10 p.m., FX Linder crosses the border to take on his most difficult case yet. That makes it sound like he's going to Taco Bell to try that new breakfast waffle taco.
SEASON FINALE Necessary Roughness, 10 p.m., USA T.K. may have to sit out the biggest game of his career. Well, until he becomes a free agent and signs with a real winner two seasons from now.
SERIES PREMIERE Modern Dads, 10:30 p.m., A&E Four stay-at-home dads in Austin, Texas, come together to lend each other emotional support for the tough road ahead. Because men don't just drink beer and grunt about power tools and sports anymore; oh, no — now they've all got to have feeeeeeelings.
Kid Rock: Live from Buffalo Chip, 8 p.m., CMT Kid performs for bikers at Sturgis, as seen on April 5. You saw it if you were in South Dakota, anyway.
Ghost Shark, 9 p.m., SyFy On the heels of Sharknado comes a yarn about the daughter of a fisherman now chased by the specter of the fish her dad killed. Richard Moll, who played Bull on Night Court, stars as a lighthouse keeper. Meanwhile, you have people being eaten in thunderstorms, swimming pools and buckets of water. So be sure to make popcorn.
Burn Notice, 9 p.m., USA Michael and Sonya go to Mexico to help James. Bring plenty of bottled water, because that will really help.
Supermarket Superstar, 10:30 p.m., Lifetime One of the contestants likes making food with beer. She should win automatically.
NFL Preseason Football, 8 p.m., CBS Another pretend game with the Seattle Seahawks traveling to meet the Green Bay Packers. Yawn. Still, it's better than watching …
America's Next Top Model, 9 p.m., CW Now the models must walk the runway on a giant turntable. As if they weren't dizzy enough already.
Strike Back, 10 p.m., Cinemax Dougray Scott is a former SAS mercenary. You may remember him from Goldeneye, in which he was a former MI6 mercenary, or Mission: Impossible 2, in which he was a former IMF mercenary.
Continuum, 10 p.m., SyFy Travis gets a second CPS suit. That's good for the days when he needs to send the first one out for dry cleaning.
