On TV this week
House, 8 p.m., Fox You know a TV show is going downhill when it resorts to characters with amnesia. We'd offer other storylines we came up with, but we forgot them.
Rules of Engagement, 8:30 p.m., CBS Audrey goes to her high school reunion to show everybody how good she's got it. Why would anyone even bother going to their high school reunion? We'd just say we forgot it.
24, 9 p.m., Fox This show, if you'll remember, featured Jack's wife getting amnesia in the very first season. How's that for a record?
Glee, 9 p.m., Fox Lea Michele's Rachel has laryngitis. Maybe she got it from announcing the Tonys with Jeff Daniels a few days ago.
9 by Design 10 p.m., Bravo Cortney works to raise money for a bone marrow transplant for her friend's leukemia-stricken child, but also agrees to do a renovation without finalizing a budget. This is who you entrust your money matters to?
V, 10 p.m., ABC Erica searches for a scientist who has made a weapon the Visitors fear. Can we just call it red dust now, or do we have to wait until Michael Ironside shows up?
SEASON FINALE America's Next Top Model, 8 p.m., CW Can we call it a surprise double elimination if we already know about it? Thankfully, they wait until there's only two finalists to shoot the inevitable commercial.
Top Chef Masters, 10 p.m., Bravo The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, voice actor Hank Azaria and writer Matt Selman judge a quickfire challenge based on the show's characters. We can't wait to see what they come up with for Moe Szyslak.
Happy Town 10 p.m., ABC The title of this episode is "Polly Wants a Crack at Her," which is so clever we forgot to check what the show is actually about. Oh, right, murders and such.
Community, 8 p.m., NBC Who cares Señor Chang didn't have a teaching degree? If reality TV has taught us one thing, it's that pretending to be something is more important than actually being something.
SEASON FINALE Supernatural, 9 p.m., CW Let's start the apocalypse by killing off a recurring character, shall we?
SEASON FINALE Fringe, 9 p.m., Fox This is only the first part of a two-part finale, but it does involve a parallel universe and Leonard Nimoy, so it's worth two mentions.
SEASON FINALE Smallville, 8 p.m., CW Clark and Zod battle for control of the Earth, leaving us to wonder if Callum Blue will get to utter the immortal phrase, "Kneel before Zod!"
Kitchen Nightmares, 9 p.m., Fox A sushi restaurant owner loses his passion for cooking after one of his locations isn't successful. To be fair, is there a lot of actual "cooking" involved in making sushi?
SEASON PREMIERE Gavin and Stacey, 9 p.m., BBC America The couple must adjust to living in Wales again. We've never been there, but we hear the Welsh can be none too inviting to outsiders. Of course, it's the English who say that.
