On TV tonight

Chasing Ice, 8 p.m., NatGeo Watch this special about receding glaciers and quake in fear. Or rejoice that if you live inland a bit, you will soon own waterfront property.

Fashion Star, 8 p.m., NBC The contestants have to create an ensemble for a "big night out." It's not specified as to whether you're going to the Oscars, or just hitting the corner bar on the way home from buying diapers at Walmart.

Tanked, 9 p.m., Animal Planet The boys create an aquarium shaped like a spaceship with fizzy soda bottles. That's plenty to make you forget all about the melting glaciers.

Vegas, 9 p.m., CBS Lena finds a dead body in a hotel room, but OMG, so what you guys? Violet has Dixon arrested! That is so much more important.

Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, 8 p.m., Lifetime Tampa girl made good Brittany Snow stars as a schizophrenic law student and sometime-local resident Jennifer Hudson is a soldier with PTSD in separate installments of a five-part anthology about mental illness directed by Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ashley Judd and more, and produced by Jennifer Aniston. This is better-than-average Lifetime moviemaking, for sure.

Mary and Martha, 8 p.m., HBO Meanwhile, Hilary Swank and Brenda Blethyn play unrelated women who meet when their sons both die of malaria in South Africa. Man, flip a coin for melodrama tonight.

All the President's Men Revisited, 8 p.m., Discovery Robert Redford narrates a look back at a time when people apparently were still shocked by things like the crazy way Nixon resigned from office. Imagine the whole Watergate thing in the age of Twitter!

SERIES PREMIERE Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, 8 p.m., CMT Dog the Bounty Hunter put his tracking skills to use and got his family a new show on a different network. Who needs ratings when you have acquisition talents like that?
