On TV this weekend

FRIDAY

SERIES PREMIERE Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star, 9 p.m., OWN Now that she's got her own network, Oprah seems to be taking this "favorite things" bit a smidge too far. "YOU get a talk show! And YOU get a talk show! And YOU get a talk show!"

Blue Bloods, 10 p.m., CBS This episode fulfills Blue Bloods' contractual obligation that every CBS series must feature at least one investigation into the murder of a high-class prostitute.

SEASON PREMIERE Four Weddings, 10 p.m., TLC Why pit your wedding against three others? The true test is whether yours will be one of the two that produces a marriage that lasts.

SATURDAY

SEASON PREMIERE It's Me or the Dog, 8 p.m., Animal Planet Depending on which wedding you were in on Saturday night, it may just be the dog.

Perfectly Prudence, 9 p.m., Hallmark Hey, Jane Seymour has to get work somewhere. That's why sequels get made.

SUNDAY

SERIES PREMIERE Bob's Burgers, 8:30 p.m., Fox Apparently your show must be animated to be considered for Fox's Sunday night lineup. At least this one features H. Jon Benjamin and the creator of Dr. Katz and Home Movies, so it'll outsmart all the other cartoons tonight.

SERIES PREMIERE The Cape, 9 p.m., NBC Summer Glau finally gets in a show not made by Joss Whedon. Too bad this one, with David Lyons as a superhero, will likely last about as long as Firefly did. :(

SERIES PREMIERE Episodes, 9:30 p.m., Showtime Matt LeBlanc stars in a sitcom as Matt LeBlanc collaborating on a sitcom with two Brits. Wow, playing Joey Tribbiani really was it, wasn't it? Well, maybe not, because LeBlanc is getting good reviews.

SERIES PREMIERE Shameless, 10 p.m., Showtime William H. Macy in a show about a family that always suffers from crises. That's about as original as Matt LeBlanc trying to make a sitcom.
