On TV this weekend

FRIDAY

SEASON FINALE The Ricky Gervais Show, 9 p.m., HBO Karl spends the bulk of the episode talking about the most memorable part of his year, which was apparently watching a bug eat part of his biscuit. Yeah, having a TV show is no great shakes these days.

John Leguizamo's Tales From a Ghetto Klown, 9 p.m., PBS The actor talks about his career, focusing on his movies and one-man shows. No doubt he will spend an inordinate amount of time talking about his turn in 1997's The Pest.

Chasing UFOs, 10 p.m., NatGeo The team investigates an alleged crash site in Roswell, N.M. No, a different one.

Common Law, 10 p.m., USA A K-9 cop is shot by a gang, so Wes and Travis have to look into it. And take the mutt along for the ride, natch.

SATURDAY

An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars, 8 p.m., NBC Something about a gymnast based on a doll. We don't know. There are probably plenty of commercials to explain it to us.

George Lopez: It's Not Me, It's You, 10 p.m., HBO George Lopez has a standup special. It's a good thing he doesn't have Conan O'Brien leading in for him tonight, or else HBO would cancel him.

SUNDAY

SEASON PREMIERE Leverage, 8 p.m., TNT Cary Elwes stars as an evil airline executive who has to cut off his own feet before rescuing Princess Buttercup. Sorry, that's the mental image we always get when Cary Elwes is on.

SEASON PREMIERE Breaking Bad, 10 p.m., AMC Walt and Jessie are back together again. Well, at least until the series ends after this season.

SERIES PREMIERE Political Animals, 10 p.m., USA Sigourney Weaver stars as a former first lady who is now secretary of state. Wow, where do they come up with these show ideas?
