On TV this weekend
Whale Wars, 9 p.m., Animal Planet The Steve Irwin locates the Nisshin Maru, but a tired crew makes the pursuit hard to maintain. Meanwhile the Bob Barker must place a satellite tracker on the refueling ship in dead of night. Man, this sounds better than that awful Battleship movie that's coming out.
Swamp Loggers, 10 p.m., Discovery Rain ruins the roads out to the site, giving us a momentary pause with which to wonder whether all this logging is worth cutting down trees to make more brochures for the local real-estate office.
Torchwood: Miracle Day, 10 p.m., Starz Mekhi Phifer gets really angry when he realizes Starz isn't covered under his Basic Plus cable service and desperately tries to find a way to see this show, because it sounds pretty exciting.
SERIES PREMIERE Single With 7, 9 p.m., Style A working mom with 7 kids manages to stay fashionable and attractive. A guaranteed hit with working moms across America who have a fetish about feeling inadequate.
Carson Nation, 10 p.m., OWN Carson helps a divorced dad decorate so his daughters won't mind coming over. We can only hope he covers the gamut from Strawberry Shortcake to simply stapling credit cards to the wall.
SERIES PREMIERE Same Name, 9 p.m., CBS A celebrity swaps lives with some ordinary schmoe who has the same name. Tonight it's David Hasselhoff — although we'll note there's an amusing email exchange involving Tom Cruise and Gmail out there on the Internet right now. Same thing, basically.
SEASON PREMIERE Entourage, 10:30 p.m., HBO One last season of watching these jerky morons the night after you spent the evening with real-life jerky morons in Ybor.
