On TV this weekend
Mad Max, 8 p.m., AMC It's Mad Max night on AMC, presumably to celebrate Mel Gibson's new daughter. Quick trivia: Max's last name is Rockatansky.
Invitation Only: Tim McGraw, 9 p.m., CMT If you didn't get enough country music during Wednesday's CMA Awards, here's a small concert from a big name to close out your week.
Medium, 9 p.m., CBS Allison thinks her daughter's new boyfriend may have killed someone. To be fair, don't all parents think that?
SERIES PREMIERE Super Dave's Spike-tacular, 11 p.m., Spike Bob Einstein revives Super Dave Osborne for a series that clearly caters to Spike's core audience — if the core audience is indeed twentysomethings whose parents remember Bob's routine from way back in the '70s and '80s (or the kids themselves, who may have watched Bizarre on Showtime when they were maybe 5 years old).
Ice Twisters, 9 p.m., SyFy The SyFy Original returns, this time mixing up the disaster title grab bag and giving us a scientific experiment gone awry and creating lethal ice storms. With giant Ice Spiders in them, we hope.
The Simpsons, 8 p.m., Fox Marge poses nearly nude for a charity calendar, conveniently while Playboy is selling an issue of the very same thing in the real world. These product tie-ins are getting out of hand.
MINISERIES PREMIERE WWII in HD, 9 p.m., History If earlier books and documentaries were any indication, the war was pretty horrific before they restored rare color footage for this 10-part series.
