On TV this weekend
Alien, 8 p.m., AMC You know this one, but it's always good. Especially around Halloween, with its sequel coming on right afterward. The so-so third and awful fourth ones are on Saturday.
Smallville, 8 p.m., CW The show continues to mine the DC Universe by bring Steph Song in as Roulette, who announces her arrival by kidnapping Oliver. How do you introduce yourself?
SEASON PREMIERE Supernanny, 8 p.m., ABC Some dude calls his stepdaughter a pathological liar. Well, what else are kids supposed to be good at?
SERIES PREMIERE White Collar, 10 p.m., USA This one involves an FBI agent working with a con man to solve cases. Kind of like 48 Hours, without the big stars.
My Super Psycho Sweet 16, 10 p.m., MTV This send-up of the horrible tales of spoiled 16-year-olds only makes us wish this wasn't a parody of a slasher flick.
Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful, 9 p.m., Showtime Jon Bon Jovi and his crew jam through this rock doc about the band's latest tour. Richie Sambora was more fun when he was whacked out on booze and drugs.
Always & Forever, 9 p.m., Hallmark Rena Sofer and Dean McDermott are high school sweethearts who play into every lonely person's dream of reuniting with that special someone at their 20th high school reunion. Guess what? Ain't happening.
Endgame, 9 p.m., PBS Ditch the usual Sunday night suspects and watch William Hurt and Chiwetel Ejiofor recount how apartheid ended in South Africa in this historical drama. Learning something won't kill you.
