On TV tonight

SERIES PREMIERE The Millers, 8:30 p.m., CBS Will Arnett is a TV newsman who is getting divorced, only to find out his own parents are splitting up. And here we thought it was a TV adaptation of We're the Millers with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston.

SERIES PREMIER Welcome to the Family, 8:30 p.m., NBC A couple about to send their daughter off to college find out she has a boyfriend and is having his baby. This is supposed to be a sitcom?

SERIES PREMIERE The Originals, 9 p.m., CW The spin-off of The Vampire Diaries follows the Mikalesons to New Orleans, where witches are trying to overthrow Marcel. Still going to be way better than Twilight.

Man, Cheetah, Wild, 9 p.m., Discovery A ranger follows a mother cheetah and her cubs. This being a nature show, we'll see if all her cubs make it to the end of the special.

SERIES PREMIERE Sean Saves the World, 9 p.m., NBC Sean Hayes from Will & Grace is a career man whose life is turned upside down when his 14-year-old daughter moves in with him full-time. It's almost like having kids is a lifetime commitment.

SEASON PREMIERE Beyond Scared Straight, 10 p.m., A&E Kids from Albuquerque, N.M., need some scaring. Just tell them to watch Breaking Bad.
