On TV tonight

XXI Winter Olympics, 8 p.m., NBC Finally, the ladies figure-skating short program, when guys all over the country convince their gals they are sensitive by watching cute girls in tiny skirts be amazingly flexible. Like you never thought it.

American Idol, 8 p.m., Fox Tampa-born Janell Wheeler gets to sing her first song in anger tonight for Ellen DeGeneres. We'll check it out later on DVR. Dude, ladies figure skating!

Explorer, 10 p.m., NatGeo A 400-year-old dead body found in Venice has a brick inserted into its mouth, apparently touching off centuries of vampire stories. Either that, or the guy wouldn't shut up in life.
