On TV tonight
MINISERIES PREMIERE Parade's End, 9 p.m., HBO Ford Madox Ford tetralogy of novels about post-WW I British society gets the five-part treatment. Plus, we get to write tetralogy (quadrilogy isn't a word, folks).
SERIES PREMIERE Armed & Ready, 10 p.m., Travel Skateboarder Kevin Michael Connolly heads out into the countryside with a team of scientists and engineers to do things like climb trees with lumberjacks, go whitewater rafting and try zorbing (rolling downhill in a giant inflatable ball). The catch is that he was born without legs. Yeah, complain about not being able to find the remote now.
SERIES PREMIERE Golden Boy, 10 p.m., CBS The youngest police commissioner in NYPD history thinks back on how he got where he is in a new scripted series. He's so young, he doesn't remember a time when there weren't reams of reality shows on TV.
Robot Combat League, 10 p.m., SyFy Eight-foot-tall robots battle in a ring hosted by Chris Jericho. Your testosterone shot up just reading that sentence.
