On TV tonight
SERIES PREMIERE Remodeled, 9 p.m., CW Perhaps tired of looking for America's Next Top Model, the CW launches a reality show where they try to combine a bunch of existing modeling agencies into one super-agency. Sort of like a really skinny, self-obsessed Voltron.
Jamie's American Road Trip, 10 p.m., BBC America In his quest to understand American food, Jamie Oliver heads to Queens, where he samples Colombian, Egyptian, Peruvian and Szechuan fare. Will someone just get the poor lad some fried cheese sticks, already?
SEASON PREMIERE Southland, 10 p.m., TNT This layered, textured cop show is like the second coming of The Wire — meaning, no one watches it, and it's a miracle it's still on the air.
SERIES PREMIERE Ink Master, 10 p.m., Spike A reality show pitting tattoo artists against one another sounds great. Let's just hope they don't get too crazy with the challenges — no one wants to be on the receiving end of a "fastest tattoo" contest.
SEASON PREMIERE Justified, 10 p.m., FX You know times are tough in Detroit when Motor City crime bosses decide they'd be rather be in rural Kentucky. Then again, if Carla Gugino really lived in Harlan, we'd move to Kentucky, too.
