MONDAY

The Originals, 8 p.m., CW

Nina Dobrev pops up on this show tonight, coming from The Originals' original inspiration, The Vampire Diaries. She'll appear in flashbacks as Elijah's old love Tatia.

Gotham, 8 p.m., Fox

A gang war intensifies as the two sides duel over who will be the city's underworld king. Oswald Cobblepot gets involved in the battle and, spoiler, since he goes on to become the Batman villain Penguin, our money is on him.

The Voice, 8 p.m., NBC

New pop queen Taylor Swift wraps up her brief stint as mentor to all of the remaining contestants in this third round of Knockouts.

TUESDAY

MasterChef Junior, 8 p.m., Fox

Sixteen young chefs (ages 8 to 13!) compete for the title of best chef in what is definitely the superior version of Gordon Ramsay's MasterChef franchise.

Selfie, 8:30 p.m., ABC

Eliza decides to help Henry with his technique when it comes to wooing women, in this new episode titled "Never Block Cookies." Well, they're already off to a great start.

New Girl and The Mindy Project, 9 and 9:30 p.m., Fox

Oh, hey, New Girl and The Mindy Project, nice to see you again after you randomly stopped showing new episodes for two weeks. On New Girl, Jess of all people proves potentially problematic for Winston's police pursuits. And Allison Tolman of deserved Fargo fame guest stars on Mindy as a novelist who goes on a blind date with Peter.

Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!, 9 p.m., ABC

Revenge star Emily VanCamp, who, yes, has a Marvel connection after being in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, hosts this look at the company's history, from its initial success with comic books to its current world domination. Given Marvel's recent announcement outlining its movie plans for the next five years, this seems like a perfect time for an origin story of its own.

WEDNESDAY

The 48th Annual CMA Awards, 8 p.m., ABC

Expectant mom Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are back at it, co-hosting this event for the seventh year. Nominees include Luke Bryan, Underwood, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, nominee leader Miranda Lambert (with 10) and even Taylor Swift, who we guess will get knocked out next year, when her new "pop" album 1989 is the eligible contender?

Red Band Society, 9 p.m., Fox

Actor-singer Mandy Moore starts a recurring role as the hospital's chief of staff on this show about teens with serious illnesses, which is fitting given that one of her first major roles was as a teen who dies from cancer in Nicholas Sparks' sapfest A Walk to Remember.

THURSDAY

Elementary, 10 p.m., CBS

A double murder brings Holmes and Watson back together as partners. Aw, how nice.

FRIDAY

On the Menu, 8 p.m. TNT

Ty Pennington hosts this show in which, this week, home cooks must create a new Asian dish for the menu of The Cheesecake Factory. Oh, come on, doesn't that menu already have enough options?!

SATURDAY

The Nine Lives of Christmas, 8 p.m., Hallmark

That's right, another new Hallmark Christmas movie, but now that Halloween is over, these are seasonally appropriate, right? Check out this one's compelling synopsis: Fireman Zachary Stone is a skeptic when it comes to love (of course), but a cat named Ambrose eventually helps change his mind. We wouldn't dare reveal how the feline goes about doing that.

SUNDAY

The Good Wife, 9 p.m., CBS

As if this show wasn't a must-watch before, last week's addition of Frasier's David Hyde Pierce as a television news commentator who wants to enter politics (and piques Alicia and Eli's interest) has elevated this show to another level.
