Watch this: TV week of Dec. 23

MONDAY

The Sing-Off, 8 p.m., NBC

Well, that was fast. After just a few weeks on the air, we're already at the point where this show is doling out its $100,000 grand prize and a recording contract. Who knew a show hosted by Nick Lachey could be so legitimately entertaining?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, 10 p.m., Food

In this new episode, Guy Fieri visits family-owned eateries, including a married couple's grilled-cheese truck (awesome idea) and a sibling-owned Chinese restaurant. Honestly, it's all a little underwhelming after Saturday Night Live introduced the fake Guy Fieri's Full Throttle Christmas Special a few weeks back. We now desperately want that to be a real thing.

Hollywood Game Night, 10 p.m., NBC

NBC's summer game show series hosted by Glee's Jane Lynch returns for a special holiday episode that'll kick off more episodes in 2014. Gavin DeGraw, Ray Romano, Rachel Bilson and Andy Roddick appear on tonight's episode, featuring two teams of four (three celebs, one regular person) competing in party games. Like a big holiday get-together with all of your closest celebrity pals.

TUESDAY

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, 8 p.m., ABC

Sure, you've seen this animated gem about 300 times already this season, but come on, it's a Christmas Eve tradition!

It's a Wonderful Life, 8 p.m., NBC

Let's just hope NBC doesn't pre-empt this holiday classic again for another re-run of Carrie Underwood's bad acting in Sound of Music Live. Jimmy Stewart would be ashamed.

WEDNESDAY

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, 10 a.m., ABC

The 30th edition of this holiday tradition features a parade and festivities at Disney World, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris (who else?) and Nick Cannon. Though the talent is lacking in star power this year: The Wanted, Demi Lovato and someone named Dove Cameron will perform. Guess Miley wasn't available, huh?

Doctor Who, 9 p.m., BBC America

In this year's special Christmas episode, a bunch of mysterious sci-fi stuff happens, but all you really need to know is that this is the last episode for Matt Smith as the Doctor, before new Doctor Peter Capaldi takes over.
