SEries PREMIERE Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls, 9 p.m., NBC
Bear Grylls must be bored testing his own survival skills, so now he's dragging 20 people into the wilderness for a series of his crazy challenges in New Zealand. Whoever's left standing wins lots of money. Though we worry for the things they will have to ingest.
So You Think You Can Dance, 8 p.m., FOX
This season of the show is particularly intense. SYTYCD airs just once a week this year, so for the first time, weekly eliminations are rolled into the beginning of the performance shows. Last week, the first top 20 elimination sent two dancers home at the top of the show only to have them stick around for the rest of the night to perform with their partners. Brutal. The top 18 compete tonight.
SEASON finale The American Baking Competition, 9 p.m., CBS
Three contestants compete for the title of best amateur baker and, more importantly, for that $250,000 grand prize. We'll miss learning what the heck things like Tarte Tatin and Choux Tower are, but if we want to hear judgmental remarks about croissants, there's always the Food Network.
SEries PREMIERE The Winner Is..., 9 p.m., NBC Singers are pitted against each other in front of an audience of 101 music experts in, yes, another singing competition. The "twist" is that contestants have the opportunity to bet on their own failure — they can take a payout if they think they got the least number of votes. We're curious about those 101 audience members — who are these people, and why exactly are they music experts? Then again, maybe we shouldn't expect such high standards from a singing show hosted by Nick Lachey.
SEries PREMIERE Hollywood Game Night, 10 p.m., NBC NBC is really pushing new game shows this summer, huh? Jane Lynch hosts this one, in which contestants join celebrities to play pop culture-based trivia games. Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow kick things off tonight, which just makes us wish they'd reunite the Friends cast for a re-enactment of that awesome trivia game episode.
