Grease and sing-alongs go together like ramma lamma lamma ka dingity ding da dong. In another of a series of audience-participation revival shows (The Sound of Music or Rocky Horror Picture Show), the Tampa Theatre is letting fans release their inner Pink Lady or greaser at this weekend's sing-along showing of Grease. Get into character with a costume contest and parade before each screening. And thanks to on-screen lyrics plugged into the movie, you can sing right along with Sandy and Danny, even if you don't know the words. Grease runs Friday through Sunday; show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $9.50-$11.50. 711 N Franklin St., Tampa. (813) 274-8981, tampatheatre.org.
Yeah, The Dark Knight is awesome. But if you want some seriously cool toys, James Bond is the man to see. The Beach Theatre knows this, which is why on Friday they're kicking off a week of classic Bond flicks for the low, low price of $7. That's right — seven flicks featuring 007 for just $7. Pay once, and you can watch Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye. "Bond girls" will serve vodka martinis (don't even think of asking for them shaken) and the screening of From Russia With Love will feature belly dancers during the credits. Films will be screened throughout the week, starting with Thunderball at 11 a.m. Friday. Call or visit beach-theatre.com to get specific showtimes for each movie.
