Dinosaurs Alive! (not rated, probably G) (40 min.) — Michael Douglas narrates this IMAX documentary that, despite its title, focuses more upon paleontologists than the creatures they investigate. Beginning in the Gobi Desert, the movie traces the route of Roy Chapman Andrews during his famous digs, continuing to New Mexico, where Andrews' legacy inspires other scientists.
Ann Coates of Big Movie Zone, a Web site dedicated to IMAX news and reviews wrote: "Though the film offers only a smattering of (computer-generated) dinosaurs, it should provide a reasonable amount of entertainment and education."
Dinosaurs Alive! will be shown in rotation with other IMAX films at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. For show times, visit the museum's Web site at www.mosi.org or call (813) 987-6000.
