With the Karate Kid and A-Team movies out this weekend, we asked folks in Centro Ybor: Which '80s film or TV show should be remade next? — Text by Dalia Colón and photos by Luis Santana

"Sixteen Candles."

— Melinda Contreras, 24, Valrico

"ThunderCats. I think it was pretty popular, as far as cartoons. Transformers was at the top, and then you had ThunderCats. I think I'd like it in the style of Transformers. I think they could pull it off."

— Loring Smith, 28, Clearwater

"She-Ra. Who would be She-Ra? I don't know. (Someone) small and big-breasted. Pam Anderson, but she'd probably need to act."

— Krista Garrison, 29, Lakeland

"Airwolf. The only reason why I say it is because when I used to get home from school, The A-Team was on and Airwolf was on right after it. It's this crazy attack helicopter that lives in a mountain that's kind of like an A-Team series. The helicopter goes out and saves lives. It should be a double-feature."

— David Potter, 31, Santa Barbara, Calif.

"Diff'rent Strokes. Instead of the man being white, it would be a black guy with white kids — somebody that's not what you would anticipate. Who would I get as my maid/housekeeper? Gabrielle Union."

— Eliyahkeer Israel, 50-something, Ybor City

Smurfs. I think you're definitely going to up the animation."

— Libby King, 30, Pomeroy, Ohio
