Production on the movie Dolphin Tale, inspired by the rescue of Winter the dolphin, got an early start Thursday at the star's home, Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Cameras were expected to roll Sept. 27 but the crew spent Thursday collecting footage of the aquarium facility. No key human actors were reportedly involved, although Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd were recently spotted around town. The crew is expected to film a bogus television news report today at Bay News 9 studios. Principal photography for Dolphin Tale begins Monday at a private residence in Clearwater (undisclosed to deter gawkers), and Tuesday with a staged swim meet at the Long Center recreation complex. If you have a close encounter with Dolphin Tale between now and mid December when filming ends, tell us about it (and don't forget photographs).
