The Munsters are coming back to TV? That's the word out there on the Web this week. The New York Times says NBC has ordered a pilot based on the 1960s sitcom that starred Fred Gwynne and Yvonne De Carlo as a Leave it to Beaver-type family. Oh, but they're monsters. Well, we loved the theme song anyway. The new version would be an hourlong drama, which seems truly scary. However, Bryan Fuller, who brought us the excellent Pushing Daisies, is in charge of the new Munsters, so maybe this is an idea worth screaming about. Look for it on TV this summer or next fall.
