Could this May's Taste of Pinellas bacchanal in downtown St. Pete feature the charity event's greatest musical lineup ever?
Sure as heck sounds like it.
As reported by the Times' Katherine Snow Smith, local music impresario Bill Edwards has booked some seriously bold-faced names to play Vinoy Park.
• On Friday, May 20, retro-rocker Chris Isaak and country singer Josh Turner will make the ladies swoon.
• Saturday, May 21 will be a sexy, slide-guitar getdown with blues legends Bonnie Raitt and Buddy Guy.
• And on May 22, grungy rockers Third Eye Blind and Bubbly pop princess Colbie Caillat will close up the weekend.
Last year's headliners were Huey Lewis and the News, Martina McBride and Hannah Montana's Mitchell Musso. Admission was $5 for adults on Friday and Saturday, with kids admitted free. No word yet on admission costs for this year — as always, proceeds will benefit All Children's Hospital — but at least we know it's going to sound good.
