Position: Acting principal second violin/assistant principal second violin
With the orchestra since: 2010
Where I'm originally from: Queens, N.Y.
Age I started studying my instrument: 7
Favorite date night place to eat out: Cristino's in Clearwater (we've found it to be the best Italian food south of Brooklyn).
I'm an expert at: making my wife and daughter smile
But I'm really lousy at: public speaking
Dream vacation: Europe
Hobbies and interests: anything with my daughter, fixing things, astronomy, biking
Some little-known, yet interesting fact about you: I have a medical degree but went back to music to follow my heart.
Funniest concert moment: When I was 12, I dropped my violin backstage right before a recital. Fortunately I was able to play on my sister's violin. It wasn't funny then, but now I can laugh about it.
The question you're asked most often about your instrument: Is it a Stradivarius? No … but it's a copy of one.
