Age: 51
With the orchestra since: 1990
Where you are originally from: Rockville, Md.
Education: USF, DePaul University
Age I started studying my instrument: 9
Favorite date night place to eat out: Date night? With an actual person? I like the Red Mesa in St. Petersburg a lot.
My iPod's usually playing: audiobooks. I love to be read to!
I'm an expert at: It's hard for me to claim expertise. I'm a Virgo and we tend to be tough on ourselves.
But I'm really lousy at: Math, taxes and paperwork of any kind.
Career path if I hadn't chosen music: Graphic design or the visual arts. I'm also drawn to some aspects of medicine. I'm pretty sure my math incompetence would keep me out of the running, though.
Hobbies and interests: I enjoy playing around with art (mostly oil paint and pastels, below). I love to swim, bike and run, though I'm not competitive at all and I keep it on the moderate side.
Some little-known, yet interesting fact about you: I spent my early years in Taiwan and felt that was "home" until I turned 12 or so. When we came to the States to live I remember saying, "Wow, it looks just like Dennis the Menace!"
Funniest concert moment: When we were playing The Nutcracker and a fight broke out in the audience. The fight itself was not funny but it was John Shaw's comment that broke me up. "We went to see a fight and a ballet broke out!"
