Pink brings high-wired hits to Tampa Bay Times Forum on Feb. 27

It's a good thing the Tampa Bay Times Forum has hosted Cirque du Soleil shows in the past. They might need that expertise next year, considering all the high-flying acrobatics Pink has crammed into her stage show of late.

Come February, the singer will return to Tampa for her first local headlining show since 2006 at Jannus Landing (although she did open for Justin Timberlake at the Times Forum in 2007). According to her website, Pink's Truth About Love Tour will stop in Tampa on Feb. 27. Ticketmaster lists tickets for $36.75-$96.75, and says they'll go on sale Oct. 6.

Pink is the third major pop starlet to announce a gig at the Times Forum in early 2013, along with Lady Gaga (March 13) and Rihanna (April 19). But considering her ever-growing catalog of hits (Get the Party Started, Who Knew) — not to mention all those high-wire stage performances — this might be the most intriguing of them all.

Here comes Aerosmith

Aerosmith is coming to the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Dec. 11, according to an announcement from the band. It's the second-to-last stop on this second leg of the group's Global Warming Tour. Fellow arena-rock warriors Cheap Trick — familiar faces in these parts, as singer Robin Zander lives in Safety Harbor — will open the show, making it a double dose of classic rock awesomeness. Tickets are $46.75-$146.75, and they go on sale Monday, according to Ticketmaster.
