Schoolhouse Rock Live (Junior) comes to Largo

Why is it that you can remember all the words to a song but can't remember a username and password from yesterday? The creator of Schoolhouse Rock shared similar sentiments back in 1973 — his son could recite all the words to songs on the radio, but couldn't remember his multiplication tables. And the Saturday morning series pairing catchy songs with teaching (Just a Bill, Conjunction Junction, Lolly, Lolly, Lolly) was born. Now, Gen X-ers and their kids can enjoy the musical rendition of the Emmy-award winning cartoon together with Schoolhouse Rock Live (Junior). 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday at the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. $6-$7. (727) 587-6793.

This article has been revised to reflect the following correction: The Saturday performance of School House Rock Live! Jr. at the Largo Cultural Center is 11 a.m. A different time was listed.
