Monday, 7 p.m., Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. $35-$65. (727) 791-7400.
During Season 2 of American Idol, more than 24 million votes were cast for these dissimilar contenders: one, a powerful tenor with a dorky exterior and a Broadway twinkle, the other a crooner with an R&B caress like Luther Vandross. On Monday, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, a.k.a. the Velvet Teddy Bear, team up to deliver "classic tunes from the past five decades." We know the Claymates (a super-fan term Aiken actually had trademarked) will be in the house. For $35, we'd imagine lots of casual fans will be, too.
