On Tuesday's radar: Al Pacino at Ruth Eckerd, John Wayne at the Capitol, Smokehouse Rats at Skipper's

Al Pacino: The legendary actor comes to Ruth Eckerd Hall Tuesday for an Inside the Actor's Studio-style Q&A session with Times movie critic Steve Persall. He will also recreate some of his favorite characters on stage — Hoo-ah! — and will take questions from the audience. Tickets are $99 and $150.

Lt. General Russel L. Honore: The retired U.S. Army leader gained fans for his no-nonsense style after Katrina. He'll give tips and sign his book on family disaster planning at noon today at Largo Public Library. Just in time for hurricane season. $25. (727) 587-6702.

The Smokehouse Rats: It should be a great night of live music by this Tampa Bay area jam band at 7 p.m., Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa. $10. (813) 977-6474; skipperssmokehouse.com.

The Searchers: This portion of the Capitol Classics Film Series brings the 1956 film The Searchers, starring John Wayne, Vera Miles and Ward Bond. The motivation of a Civil War veteran becomes increasingly questionable as he spends years searching for a young niece captured by Indians. 7:30 p.m. at Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater. $6. (727) 791-7400.
