Paula Abdul back in 'American Idol' talks
You didn't really think Paula Abdul would be kept out of the next season of American Idol, did you? Because after ABC's Dancing With the Stars showed interest and millions of weirdoes professed their undying love of the judge, she's back in talks with Fox to return. And all the PR hasn't hurt her position any, MSNBC says: "Paula isn't lowering her price in any meaningful way," a source said. "She wants a (Ryan) Seacrest-level deal." That would be in the neighborhood of three years and $45 million, for you home bankers out there. The fact that DWTS really wanted her is a boon to her negotiations, another source claims. "They actually really needed her as that big name," the source said. "They didn't really want Tom DeLay as their most-buzzed-about contestant." That's not really fair to Tom; we're sure he's just as talented as, say, Karl Rove.
Robin Wright Penn files for divorce, again
Just a day after we learned Robin Wright Penn was sick and tired of her husband Sean from an interview in More magazine, we confirm she's filed for divorce for a third time. It's a charm, that third one. The papers were actually filed in Marin County, Calif., on Aug. 12, People says, so it's not like she was cold-hearted enough to wait until the interview came out. Rather, it looks like somebody bothered to check out whether her saying "I know what I don't want" meant anything. While the reason is listed as irreconcilable difference, the case also notes that "both parties have already agreed to (shared) custody" of 16-year-old son Hopper, and that "the estranged couple have already agreed to a division of all property.
Celine Dion pregnant with second child
Celine Dion's family will go on, since the singer found out Monday that she is pregnant with her second child at the ripe age of 41, the AP reports. The kid is due in May, meaning we might have a restful winter with no Dion on tour. Murielle Blondeau, a spokeswoman with the Bureau de Francine Chaloult, said Tuesday Celine and her husband, 67-year-old Rene Angelil, found out about the pregnancy Monday after she underwent fertility treatments in New York. The couple are pretty happy about the news, as Dion's first child, Rene-Charles, started private school this week in Florida. He was conceived by in vitro fertilization at the same clinic eight years ago, which is just the type of news he wants spread around right about now.
Mila Kunis talks about Macaulay Culkin
Mila Kunis opens up about her relationship with her boyfriend of seven years, Macaulay Culkin, in the latest issue of Women's Health and guess what? He seems fairly normal. "I don't know if I met him at 27 if it would have been a different relationship," the 26-year-old tells the mag (she was a teen when they met). "We grew up together. You find a steady rock in your life and that's all you need. We have our ups and downs, but work through them." She also has thoughts on her other co-stars, including Jason Bateman, with whom she appears in the upcoming Extract: "You can tell there's no ego. He's just a good, decent human being — and a great family man." There's also James Franco, whom she calls "incredibly smart," despite sleeping through college classes, and Mark Wahlberg, who is "an easygoing guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. Basically, if you golf, you can hang out with him." We're wondering what else Macaulay Culkin is up to these days to really have time for golf, though. Dating Mila must be a full-time job.
