Maybe they should call it the Wildhorn Theatre Project. Two years ago, the Broadway Theatre Project workshopped songs from Frank Wildhorn's Wonderland, the musical based on Alice in Wonderland that premieres this fall at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Wildhorn's musical on F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald was earlier workshopped at BTP. This summer, the project worked on another Wildhorn show, Bonnie & Clyde, with the composer coaching a number from his musical about Depression-era bank robbers that will also premiere in the fall, at the LaJolla Playhouse in California.

The Bonnie & Clyde number and other stage works will showcase BTP's talented young actors, singers and dancers in a four-show festival this weekend in Theatre 1 at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Show times are 4 and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. $10 for matinees, $35 for evening performances, or $75 for all four. (813) 974-2323; ticketmaster.com (search for BTP).
