Hit string trio returns to kick off Florida Orchestra's pops season

Time for Three, the resourceful string trio that was a hit for the Florida Orchestra last season, returns to open the 2010-11 pops season, announced today. The orchestra's masterworks and coffee concert series for next season were released two weeks ago. Here's the pops lineup:

Oct. 29-31: Time for Three, conductor TBA; Nov. 26-28: "Wicked Divas on Broadway,'' with actor-singers Annaleigh Ashford and Julia Murney, conducted by Steven Reineke; Dec. 10-12: "A Holiday Pops,'' with the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and conducted by Richard Kaufman; Jan. 7-9: "The One and Only Louis Armstrong,'' with trumpeter Byron Stripling, conducted by Jeff Tyzik; Feb. 11-12: "The Great American Songbook," with singers Teri Dale Hansen and Norm Lewis and conductor Stuart Malina; March 4-6: "Opera Goes Pops,'' conducted by Stuart Chafetz, vocalist TBA; April 8-10: "A Night at the Copa,'' conducted by Victor Vanacore; May 20-22: "Totally Awesome '80s,'' conducted by Sarah Hicks.
