Two of the Tampa Bay area's best holiday music programs are on the schedule this weekend. The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet (below) is made up of fine musicians who have been playing together for a long time: Robert Smith and Kenneth Brown, trumpets; Brandon Beck, French horn; Dwight Decker, trombone; and William Mickelsen, tuba. The Master Chorale, under artistic director Richard Zielinski, sings a program that includes excerpts from Handel's Messiah and other yule favorites. The group will premiere the winning entry in its first annual Christmas carol competition, Who Are You, My Little One? by Edward David Zeliff of Upland, Calif. Featured soloists include tenor Brad Diamond and soprano Michele Byrd.
