Even though the thermometer doesn't say so, Florida's "season" is nigh upon us, the time when summer vacationers have departed, snowbirds start to arrive, and performing arts groups launch their 2011-12 series of shows. Local theaters have already started their seasons: Lend Me a Tenor at Stage West Community Playhouse, Cabaret at Richey Suncoast Theatre and Steel Magnolias at Show Palace Dinner Theatre, with the musical Meet Me in St. Louis waiting in the wings, and now the major musical groups are announcing ticket sales for their lineups.
