Barrage, a high-octane group of fiddle players from Canada, will take the stage on the evening of Feb. 5 at Pasco-Hernando Community College.

The Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation's 2010 performing arts season has several firsts:

• The first season in the recently remodeled performing arts center.

• The first season to include a specially priced three-matinee series.

• The first season to offer seven shows in just over 10 weeks, starting in mid January and ending in mid March.

"We're late with announcing our season because the Performing Arts Center is undergoing renovation," said Arla Altman, dean of institutional advancement and the person in charge of choosing the shows. "We couldn't sell tickets until we received our new seating chart."

The season offers something for nearly everyone: high energy fiddlers, hit-making crooners, and a couple of nostalgia/tribute groups. The sponsors are offering ticket packages that can bring the price of a ticket down to as little as $12 a show on telephone or in person orders.
