See piano virtuoso Eric Zuber at Music in the Marly

For virtuoso piano playing, the Marly Room of the Museum of Fine Arts is the place to be on Sunday afternoon. Pianist Eric Zuber, whose resume includes prizes in a host of competitions and solo appearances with major orchestras, is giving an ambitious recital that ranges from Beethoven (the Pathetique Sonata) to Chopin (the Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise, among other Chopin works), Haydn (Sonata in E minor) to Schumann (Scenes from Childhood) to three Rachmaninoff preludes. Zuber, with diplomas from Curtis and Juilliard, is working on a doctorate from the Peabody Conservatory. His performance is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg. $20, with $10 student tickets. (727) 896-2667; fine-arts.org.
