Perhaps boosted by the craze for the swinging '60s style of Mad Men, the revival of Boeing Boeing was a hit on Broadway several seasons ago, and now the Straz Center is staging its own production of the slapstick comedy in the Jaeb Theater. Back in 1965, it was a movie with Jerry Lewis and Tony Curtis.

Adapted from a French farce, it's the story of Bernard, an architect living in Paris, who juggles his love life with three flight attendants — each of whom thinks she's his one and only. Hilarity ensues when his naive friend Robert arrives and the airlines change their schedules.

Chadd Thomas (of the Chadd and Kristi morning show on Magic 94.9 FM) is playboy Bernard, and Justin Lore is Robert. Playing the attendants are Amy Garton, Nicole Absinio and Amy E. Gray. The director is Greg Leaming, coming off his production of the comedy last season at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. Also reprising their work from the Asolo are designers Judy Gailen (sets) and Eduardo Sicangeo (costumes).

Boeing Boeing, which is part of the Broadway series at the Straz, has previews at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. The show opens Tuesday and runs through May 6. Preview tickets are $19.50; regular tickets are $31.50. (813) 229-7827 or toll-free 1-800-955-1045; strazcenter.org.
